sufficiently on the ground, a flying hit, following a pass
or
deflection
from one attacker receiving a corner hit to another, should be penalised
as a breach of (d).
17. Penalty Corner
Rule 16 shall also apply to a penalty corner, except that the free
hit may be taken from any spot on the defenders' goal-line on
either side of the goal, but not within io yards of a goal-post.
Penalties.—As for Rule
16
except that for persistent intentional
breaches of para. (c) of that Rule by the defending team:
A penalty
bully may be awarded, which shall be taken by a member of the
dt fending team indicated by the Umpire.
18. Penalty Bully
(a)
A penalty bully shall be awarded to the opposing team if,
in the opinion of the Umpire.
(i) There has been an
intentional
breach of Rule io or

inside
the circle, by a player of the defending team, to prevent a goal
being scored; or
(ii) A goal would probably have been scored had an
uninten-
tional
breach of Rule io inside the circle not occurred.
(b)
The offending player, or, if he has been incapacitated or
suspended, any other player of the defending team, and any player
of the attacking team, shall bully in accordance with Rule 9 (a) on
a spot five yards in front of the centre of the goal-line, and play.
shall then proceed between them until the penalty bully is com-
pleted in accordance with paragraph (d) of this Rule.
(c) Until the penalty bully has been completed, all the other
players of both teams shall remain outside the nearer
25
yards line.
(d)
If, during a penalty bully, the ball pass wholly:
(i) Over the goal-line, between the goal-posts and under the
crass-bar, off the stick of the attacker, or stick or person of
the de€ender, a goal is scored ; or
(ii) Over any part of the goal-line which is within the circle,
other than that between the goal-posts, off the stick or person
of the defender, the bully shall be played again; or,
(iii) Outside the circle in all other cases, the game shall be re-
started by a bully at the centre of the nearer
25
yards line.
(e)
All time taken between the award of any penalty bully and
resumption of play shall be added to the agreed time of play
(see
Rule i (b) ).
Penalties.
i. For any breach
of
any Rule (except Rule 9) ; and for an
intentional breach of Rule 9 after a warning by the Umpire :
(i) By the attacker.
The game shall be re-started by a
bully at the centre of the nearer
25
yards line.
(ii)
By the defender.
A goal shall be awarded to the
opposing team.

For a simultaneous breach of Rules
9
or io by both players.
The penalty bully shall be played again.
