RIDING
Tidworth Polo Club has been revived. Some twenty club
ponies have been procured as a nucleus. The Secretary is :
Lieut.-Colonel J. H. Pallot, Commanding, 61 Field Regiment,
R.A., Tidworth, Hants.
Cowdray Park most kindly introduced some twenty Cadets to
the game, enabled several serving officers to play and mounted a
Rhine Army Team for a fortnight.
United Services Handicap Polo Tournament
Open to teams consisting of serving member of the forces.
Winners

1956—The Life Guards (4 teams competed).
Jumping and Military Show Classes
(a) The Royal Tournament, Earl's Court
(held annually in
June).
One of the principal functions of the Royal Tournament is to
encourage skill-at-arms and in this connection there are four
mounted events open to All Ranks of the three services.
Heats, or " Pools " as they are known, for all these competitions
are held during the public performances of the Royal Tournament
and rosettes are awarded to Pool winners before they go forward
to the Semi-Finals. Particulars are available from
