MODERN PENTATHLON
If the appeal jury cannot pass an immediate verdict on the matter,
the re-firing will take place at the time decided by the jury.
If there are more than five holes in the target the marksman must
take again the whole series of his five shots.
The final result will then be determined according to the following
provisions :
(i) If the second result of the entrant is better than that of
the five best shots of the first group, the five best shots
of the first group must be marked up to the firer.
(2)
If the second result is inferior to the worst five of the
first batch, the firer must receive the score of the five
worst shots of this first batch.
(3)
If the second result is between the first best shots and
the first worst shots of the first series, the firer should
be given the score of the second series, that is to say,
the additional series which he has taken.
For classification of entrants (see Appendix page

If
there should be some equality, the calculation will be based on the
penultimate series, and so on retrogressively throughout
the series

A practice ground should be set up near to the place where the
competition is held so that marksmen can have some practice before
their turn comes in the competition and so that they can try out
their weapons.
The practice ground should not however be so near to the com-
petition ground that the entrants who are actually in progress of com-

In any cases which are not covered by the above regulations,
those of the International Shooting Union will be applied.
