HOCKEY
In the case of the attackers entering the circle or any of the
six
defenders cross the goal line or any of the rest of the defending team
crossing the 25 yards line before the ball is in play as provided for
in the rule, the corner hit shall be taken again.
For any other breach of this rule by the attacking team the penalty
shall be :
Inside the circle.
A free hit by one of the defending team from any spot within
the circle.
Outside the circle.
A free hit by one of the defending team from the spot where the
breach occurred.
HOCKEY (SIX-A-SIDE)
The game shall be played in accordance with the usual rules of
hockey, with the following exceptions :
I.
The teams shall consist of six players each, the formation of
the team being entirely optional, e.g., goalkeeper, two backs and
three forwards, or kicking back, two halves and three forwards,
or any other arrangement desired.
z. The duration of the game shall be two periods of 6 minutes
each with no interval, not more than one minute being allowed for
goalkeepers to change ends. The Final shall be two periods of
i o minutes each with 3 minutes' interval.
3. Penalty bullies shall not be awarded under any circumstances.
4. The usual Off-side Rules shall apply with the substitution of
tuo
opponents for
three.
5. The winners shall be the team scoring the greater number of
goals, or if these are equal :
(a) the team having the greater number of short corners awarded
them,
or if these are equal
(b) the team having the greater number of long corners awarded
them,
or if these are equal
(c) the result shall be decided by the position of the ball at the
" full-time " whistle, the team in whose half of the field the
ball is situated being the losers.
Where time is not a limiting factor a result may be obtained by
(d) (i) Three minutes' extra time each way with a two-minute
interval being played. The first goal scored will, however,
end and decide the match.
(ii) If the teams are still level, further extra time will be
played during which the first score of any kind will
decide the match.
HOCKEY (SIX-A-SIDE), Enclosed Court
When 6-a-side Hockey is played in an ENCLOSED COURT,
the following Rules will apply:
