(e) In every Command or District shall be established a branch
committee of the Army Fencing Union, which shall be called " T

OMMITTEE."
The
general functions of the Command Committees are to organise,
encourage and control fencing in each Command, and thereby to
assist the General Committee.
(f) The Selection Committee will be elected annually at the
General Meeting.
Committee Meetings
7. The General Committee will meet once yearly, and at such
other times as may be necessary.
Alteration of
General Rule
8. (a) No alteration in the General Rules of the Union shall be
made except at a General Committee Meeting. No alteration shall
be valid unless supported by at least two-thirds of those voting at
the meeting.
(b) Notice of any business to be submitted at a General Committee
Meeting shall be given to the Hon. Secretary zi days before the day
of the meeting, and a copy of such notice, together with the name of
the proposer, shall be sent to each member of the Committee at
least seven days before the, date of the meeting.
The agenda of all meetings shall be circulated by the Hon.
Secretary to all members of the General Committee at least five days
before the meeting.

Special Fencing Rules
9. The Rules of the F.I.E., with certain modifications, will govern
all Army Fencing Competitions and Matches.
Prizes
io. No money prizes may be competed for. Competitions must
be carried out on purely amateur lines.
Army Fencing Colours
ii. The Army Fencing Colours is a badge (red lion and crown
superimposed on crossed swords) to be worn on the left arm. A
badge will be awarded to any Officer or Other Rank who represents
the Army in any weapon (Foil, Epee, Sabre or Bayonet) in the
Annual Inter-Services Triangular Fencing Match or to the Army
Competitor who obtains the highest place in the final pool of any wea-
pon

(Foil, Epee, Sabre or Bayonet) in Phase IV Inter-Services
Championships. When a fencer has qualified in any one weapon,
the initial letter of the weapon will be embroidered on the badge,
and he will also .be entitled to wear an A.F.U. blazer Badge. (A
gold badge, consisting of lion and crown, superimposed on crossed
swords, and word " F
ENCING
" on pocket.)
In special cases the Committee shall have power to award Army
Fencing Colours to an individual in spite of the fact that he has not
fulfilled the existing
conditions.
