individuals gaining them are paid up members of the Army Cycling
Union.
Awards
4. The unit aggregating the most points by the end of the compe-
tition shall hold the Challenge Cup for one year. The unit aggre-
gating the second highest number of points shall hold the Runners-
up Trophy for one year.
Entries
5. Units may enter for the competition at any time from
Ist
January each year and onwards by completing the entry form
available from the Hon. General Secretary. The entry fee shall be
to/6d. each unit.
Representatives of a Unit
6. The Rules governing the Definition of a Unit and Eligibility
of Players as laid down on pages
53-58
will be applied to this
competition with the following exception The last clause of para.
2
under " Eligibility of Players " which
reads " unless they have played in a losing team in the same compe-
tition in the same season, in which case they are ineligible," is not
however applicable as no ties are involved.
SECTION VII
BEST ALL-ROUNDER COMPETITION
i. The Army Best All-Rounder Competition Trophy (The
Raleigh Trophy) shall be a perpetual Trophy to be competed for
annually.
Qualifying Events.

Events to count for the competition shall be :—
(a)
Army Individual Road Time Trial Championships.
(b)
Road Time Trials promoted by Corps, Command and other
Army Cycling Clubs in accordance with Army C.U./
R.T.T.C. rules.
(c) Road Time Trials which qualify for the National Best
All-Rounder Competition provided the rider participates
in the name of the Army C.U. or another Army Cycling
Club, provided that in all cases the full distance of the
event is covered (i.e. " Short Course " times will not be
admissible) and all other Army Cycling Union/R.T.T.C.
rules are obeyed.
Individual Performances
3. The Competition shall be based upon each rider's fastest
single bicycle or tricycle performance during the year in eligible
events at 25, 5o and ioo miles, such performances to be calculated
(to three decimal places) in terms of miles per hour, and the average
taken of the resultant speeds.
Unit Teams
4. A Unit Team Competition shall be included, and for this
purpose a team shall comprise the fastest three members riding
