MANAGEMENT
(a) The affairs of the Association will be conducted by a General
Committee, an Executive Committee, a Race Committee and a,
Selection Committee.
(b)
The members of the General Committee shall be elected at
the Annual General Meeting and are eligible for re-election.
(c) Vacancies on the General and Executive Committees of the
Association shall be filled
pro tem
by the General Committee,
subject to confirmation at the first available opportunity.
(d) At an authorised Committee Meeting three members shall
form a quorum.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The General Meeting shall be held during the summer. A duly
audited Statement of Accounts for the year ending 3oth April shall be
laid before the Meeting by the Hon. Treasurer. At least one
month's notice should be given in writing for the Annual General
Meeting.
EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETINGS
(a) The Committee may call Extraordinary Meetings when
required. Art Extraordinary General Meeting shall be called by the
Hon. Secretary on receiving a requisition to that effect signed by
not less than fifteen members of the Association and specifying the
object for which the Meeting is to be called. The Meeting shall be
held within three weeks of such requisition having been received by
the Hon. Secretary.
(b)
Members desiring to submit proposals to the Association
Meetings with regard to any matter other than routine business
must forward these not later than the preceding March.
ALTERATIONS TO RULES
The Rules of the Association may be altered by a majority of not
less than two-thirds of those present and voting at the Annual
General Meeting, or a General Meeting summoned for the purpose,
or by referendum.
CHAIR AT MEETINGS
The Chair at all Meetings shall be taken by the Chairman, and
in his absence the Committee is empowered to elect its own Chair-
man. The Chairman shall have a vote, and in the event of an
equality of votes, a casting vote also.
FINANCE
The funds of the Association shall be utilised for such objects as
(i) To assist competitors by paying part of their expenses in
connection with competitions as far as the funds of the
Association will permit.
