RIDING
A Regular Army dismounted unit is defined for these Trials as
follows: a Lieut.-Colonel's command, Permanent Staff and students
of an Army school, .Regular officers serving on the Headquarters of
a Command, District, Division or Brigade. No R.A.C. (Cavalry)
or R.A. personnel may ride.

HALLENGE
Cur (presented by the R.A.C. Depot)
and £2o; 2nd—£i5; 3rd—£io. Entrance fee: £2 per team.
Event 3, Inter-Hunt Team
Open to teams of three horses, the property of and to be ridden
by ladies or gentlemen who are members of the Hunt they represent.
Prizes:

NOTES
i. No rider who has ridden for hire may compete in any Class.
2.
DEFINITIONS
An Officer : an officer holding an active Regular Commission, a short
service commission, an emergency commission, an active T.A. commission or
an active supplementary Reserve commission.
An other rank : an other rank serving on a Regular Army engagement or an
active engagement in the Territorial Army or Supplementary Reserve.
N.B.—
Retired officers and Regular Army Reserve officers are eligible only
for Event i, Class "A".
3. Women's Services. Officers and other ranks of the Women's Services are
eligible to ride in all events appropriate to their ranks and status
4. There is no limit to the number of teams which may be entered from any one
Command.
5. Travelling Expenses. Army teams, in Event
2,
Classes "A", " B " and " D "
will have expenses paid on the following basis :—
(a) Return fare of 3 horses less £3 per horse.
(b)
Scottish Command and Northern Ireland District will each be limited
to one team only for the meeting for which financial assistance will be
given.
(c) Northern Command will be limited to assistance for three teams for
the meeting.
(d) Assistance as arranged will be given to B.A.O.R.
Claims for travelling expenses must be made within
14
days of the Trials being
held.
N.B.
—No
travelling expenses for teams entered by Services other than the
Army can be entertained. a
6. Stabling for Military competitors.
(a) Stabling will be available.
(b)
Forage will be provided on payment.
(c) Full requirements must be stated at the time of entry after which date
no application will be entertained.
7. Entries. The Committee reserve the absolute right to refuse any entry withou
explanation, and to decide any controversial point. The decision of the Com-
mittee will be final.
Conditions for (c) are as follows:—

(b) Cross-country (25 fences) over grass and stubble.
