a Championship of another County before 1st April of the
following year, and an athlete who has competed in a County
Championship or represented a County in an Inter-County
Championship between 1st October and 31st March may not
compete in the Championship of another County before 1st
October of the following year.
A County may at its discretion relax the residential quali-
fication in the case of events for Juniors over 16 and under
19,
but competition in any such events shall not be deemed to
have established a county qualification.
County Championships are open to any amateur under
A.A.A. Laws possessing a County qualification.
County Inter-Team (including relay and tug-of-war) Cham-
pionships are open to :
(a) .Any Club having its headquarters in the County.
(b)
Any Unit of H.M. Services stationed in the County.
(c)
Any School, College or Business House in the County.
(Every member of a team must hold a County
qualification).
Competition Rule

applies as amongst clubs eligible to com-
pete in a County Inter-Team Competition. The promotors
of a County Inter-Team Competition may not refuse the
entry of a member of a team on the ground that he is first
claim to a Club with Headquarters outside the County.
Subject to the application of this Rule, an athlete, provided
he possesses the necessary County qualification, may rep-
resent, a Club from the date of his election.
A County may, at its discretion, limit Team Championships
to affiliated Clubs.
Competitors in Inter-County Championships must possess a
County qualification for the County they represent.
Rules for Records
114.
(1)
An application for a record must be made on the
approved form, which must be forwarded with a copy of
the programme and, in the case of a field event, the
scoring card within

days to the Honorary Secretary of
the A.A.A. by the Secretary of the Club or other body re-
sponsible for the organisation of the meeting at which
the performance was accomplished.
(z) (a) It is the duty of the Referee to satisfy himself as to the
accuracy of all the details included in the application
form and to sign-the certificate on the form to that
effect.
(b)
The certificate shall, as appropriate, state

A.A.A. Competition Rules were followed.
The Timekeepers exhibited their watches immediately
after the race.
