AYONTET.—
A

ft. square arena, which must be distinctly
marked by boards, benches or a white line. Boards, however, will
be compulsory in all Bayonet competitions held at the Royal Tourna-
ment, Olympia. Starting lines on which the competitors will come
on guard will be marked in the arena

feet from each of two
opposite corners.
(e)
The pitches for fencing in Foil, Epee and Sabre will have
five lines drawn across them, namely, a centre line, starting lines
two yards either side of the centre line, and warning lines, one yard
for Foil and Sabre, two yards for Epee, from both ends.
Dress
95.
(a)
Fencers arm, equip and clothe themselves on their own
responsibility and at their own risk, . the only condition being that
the weapons, equipment and attire must conform to these regulations.
(b)

ABRE.
—White clothing from neck to ankle is
compulsory. Masks should be provided with a bavette (bib).
For Sabre, masks must be padded, have strong wire-work and
bibs which are large enough and strong enough to prevent accident.
A glove must be Ivotn on the weapon hand.

PEE.
—White clothing from neck to ankle is compulsory.
Jackets and trousers must be strong enough to afford protection
from the triple point, and should be lined with strong sail-cloth over
the front of the trunk and over the arm-pit of the fighting arm. The
neck m ust be specially protected by a large bavette (bib) attached to
