DEFINITION OF A UNIT
The Supernumerary Staff R.E. (Engineer Services) may play for
their Command or District Team.
The School of 1lilitary Engineering cannot compete, but officers
(R.E.) under instruction may play for the Battalion to which they
are attached.
Officers posted to the Training Battalion (R.E.) for their three
years' initial courses, and while undergoing an undergraduate's
course at Cambridge are ineligible to represent the Training Battalion
or any R.E. Unit.
Royal Corps of Signals
i. Training Battalion and Headquarters Signal Training Centre.

'Depot Battalion and Permanent Staff, School of Signals.
3. Aldershot Command divided into :--
A " Corps Signals (including Air Defence Signals and

Officers undergoing an undergraduate's course at Cambridge are
ineligible to represent any Unit of the Royal Corps of Signals.
Foot Guards and Infantry of the Line--By Battalions.
Depots
The Guards Depot, the Rifle Depot,
Infantry Regiments (including the Regular Establishment of their
Special Reserve or Territorial Battalions) by Depot Teams.
Where a Depot does not enter a team for the competition, Officers
and Other Ranks of the Depot Establishment may play for the Home
Battalion.
Royal Tank Corps
(a) By Battalions. (The Headquarters,

be included with 5th Battalion.)
(b) Royal 'yank Corps Centre divided into
Royal Tank Corps Depot (Recruits under training to be
eligible to compete for the Depot).
Army A.F.V. School,
i.e.,
Gunnery Wing, and D. & M.
Wing.
(c) Mechanization Experimental Establishment, excluding
personnel of the R.A., R.A.S.C., and R.A.O.C., who are not
permanently posted or attached for a minimum period of
3 years. Officers seconded to the Mechanization Experi-
mental Establishment are eligible to play for that unit.
Small Arms School

i. Woolwich.

and War Office Establishment.
