NOTES ON THE ARTIFICIAL LIGHTING OF THE
COURT.
The best results may be obtained by the use of six 300 half-watt
electric lamps, hung so that the globes are not less than 17 feet
from the floor. They should be hung in pairs from front to rear
of the court, each lamp at 3 feet 6 inches from the nearest side
wall, and 8 feet between each pair and between the nearest pair
and the front wall.
The reflectors of the front pair should be so arranged as to
throw the light forward sufficiently to avoid shadows on the front
wall and to protect the eyes of Hand-in from glare when serving.
Protection is seldom required for any of the lamps if hung at
the proper height, but may be found necessary in some
circumstances for the pair nearest the front wall.
ARMY SQUASH RACKETS CHAMPIONSHIP.
