L.T.A. Regulation 29.
Handicap Scales.
Where the system of handicapping by sixths
is used, the handicap shall be by classes, as set out in Appendix F,.
Parts l and 2, and the handicaps allotted shall be on the basis of
one or more of the three scales set out in Appendix F, Part 3.
HANDICAPPING BY CLASSES.

RECEIVED ODDS.
CLASS 0 (scratch).
Class I receives 1-sixth of 15.
Class II

Class III 3-sixths of 15.
Class IV 4-sixths of

Class V

Class VII

and I-sixth of
15.
Class VIII 15 and 2-sixths of 15.

Class XII 30.
When two players who are handicapped to receive odds meet,
the .player in receipt of the smaller odds is put back to scratch
and .shall ineet the player in receipt of the larger odds at the
difference between the face values of their odds.

ART II.
OWED ODDS.
'When
the
difference between. the best and worst players entered
is .great (say more than 30), it is desirable to handicap the best
playyers at owed odds. The player above scratch (i.e., owing odds)
should be classified as
follows;-
