| Description | There is a large fixed gun in the middle of the picture. It has been hidden behind a slight hill and covered with scaffolding and camouflage. There are two soldiers standing behind it with their backs to the gun. In the foreground of the picture and to the left is a man in a great coat and flat cap standing with officers. They also have their backs to the camera. During World War I, Arthur James Balfour (1848-1930) attained the position of First Lord of the Admiralty and then Foreign Secretary.
