Dh’ eirich thu leis le lan durachd,
’S nuair bhristeadh a ris air le bhiuthaidh*

25 Nach mi-fhortanach a’ chilis so,
Gun do dheilich** m’ eideadh ciiil rium,
M’ eideadh-uchd, mo sgiath’s mo liiireach,
Ann am Mixideart thug e chill rium ?
Ach car aon bhliadhan ni mi furas
30 Dh’ fhiach am pill mo ghaol o thuras;
Ma thig esan gheibh mi cumail,
’S ni mi cridheil, failteach fuireach.
