BoLB, bol'.ub, n.f. a sort of worm. Ir.
BoLG, bull'-ug, and bal'-ag, n. m. a pair of
bellows; a womb; sèid am bolg, b.'ow

phrase is peculiar to apart of Perthshire,
but is quite common in Ireland ; origi-
nating from a practice that obtains, a-
mong the lower classes there, of placing
the corpse when coffined under a table ;
groaning under bottles, tobacco, &c.
