On a chain mi 'n gille,
Gilleasbuig mo ghaol,
" Fear mo liiaidh 's mo chridhe/'
Ged a theid mi suas
No air chuairfc troimh 'n bhaile,
'lomhaigh chiùin gun ghriiaim,
Cha dian rium-sa tachairt.
