GENERAL REVISION OF RATES.
IN enteriug on the Forty-Sixth Year of the Association, the Directors caiised a careful Kevisibn to lie luadi
of the RATES of PREMIUM and CONDITIONS of ASSURANCE. The Rates have heen recalculated on the
most exact data available at thu jn-esrut time, and new Conditions have been introduced into the Contract of
Assurance, conferring Liberal and Advantageous Privileges on the Assured.
It will he found that, in point of Economy, the New Rates compare favourably with those of almost any otlie*-
ojfice ; and the attention of the public is particularly directed to the
LOW RATES OF PREMIUM FOR FIXED BENEFITS,
by which the Largest Amount of Immediate Assurance may be effected at the Lowest Present Outlay. Com-
bined with the Extended Non-Forfeiture System of the Association, these Assurances present a very secure and
liiL'hly advantageous method of Provision in the shape of Family Trust Policies, issued under tlie ' Married,
Women's Policies of Assurance (Scotland) Act, 1880, ' free from the control of Creditors.
PARTICIPATION IN PROFITS.
The Profits are ascertained and divided every Five Years— Nine-Tenths (Ninety per Cent.) being appro-
1 11 iated to the Assured, and eacli Policy-holder liaving an equitable share allotted to him, houxver recent his Assurance.
\t the Seven Periodical Investigations already made Reversionary Bonus Additions, at Rates whicli liave
111 ver been less than
£1, lOs. per Cent, per Annum,
were made to the Sums Assured by all Participating Policies effected for the Whole Term of Life. Thus a Polic\
for £1000 opened in 1840 amounted in ISSl to £1650.
THE EIGHTH DIVISION OF PROFITS took place at CHEISTMAS 1885, and the
Results are now being ascertained.
