THIS HOTEL has beeu greatly enlarged and improved, ami is beautifully situated on the margin of the famed Lake of Menteith,
where there is excellent Fishing, while the beauty of the Lake and Mountain Scenery cannot be suri>assed. There are three
wooded Islands on the Lake — the largest contains the ruins of an ancient Priory, and is rendered famous in Iiistory as the early
home of Mary, Queen of Scots, and where her '' Bower " or '* Child G-arden " is still to be seen. (This ancient relic of the unfortunate
Mary is annually visited by large numbers of Tourists.) One of the lesser Islands contains the Castle of the renowned Earls of
Menteith, in ruins.
BOATS and BOATMEN -for Fishings, or Boats for Pleasure, to be had at Hotel. Also a
STEAM YACHT for visiting the Island of Inchmaholme.
CARRIAGES AND MOTOR CAR FOR HIRE,
Conveyance will meet any train if ordered. Most comfortable accommodation, and charffes very moderate.
