This School waB founded in 1873, and is intended to fulfil two purposes:— First; to provide a high-clasB Preparatory Sohool where young
boyB can be thoroughly and carefully grounded; and secondly, to prepare boys in the higher part of the Sohoollor the Army, Universities,
Professions, 4o. Great prominence is, therefore, given to Mathematics and Modern Languages. _ ' â€ΕΎ,,
The Head Master has had 17 years' experience, and great success, in preparing boys for such examinations, so that boys are enaDlea to

Pupils are received either as Day boys or Boarders from eight years of age ; in the case ol boyB over fourteen years of age a certmoate oi
good conduct is requisite from their last Tutor.
The constitution and discipline are on the model of the great Publio Schools.
The climate of Davemess is exceptionally healthy; the buildingB are well situated and excellently adapted to their purpose, ana the sanitary
arrangements are on the most approved modern Bystem, and thoroughly satisfactory in all respects.
There is a large Play-ground and Cricket Field ; a well fitted Gymnasium, and a Sohool Library.
Copies of the Head Master's Testimonials will be forwarded on application. In the case of boys Whose parents are abroad, arrangements
oan be made for keeping the boys during the Christmas and April (but not Summer) holidays.
Boys attend whatever place of worship their parents desire.
