THE SEPTENNIAL INVESTIGATION
Showed that, after making provision for the whole Liabilities of the Society,
the Surplus or Profit earned during the seven years ending 31st December,
1880, amounted to £1,347,755. US. 5J>., which, in accordance with the
Ij.ws of the Society, was fclvlfceb among tbC flDembd'S in the form of
Reversionary Bonus Additions to their Polices : the Bonus for the seven
years ending that date being at the rate of £1. 14s. per cent, per annum on
the Original Sums Assured and previous Bonus Additions. On the Original
Sums Assured alone this Division of profits yielded Bonuses
From £1. 14s. to £3. 77s. 5d. per cent, per annum.
