SCHOOL OF MEDICINE, EDINBURGH— continued.
The minimum cost of the education in this school of medicine
for the triple qualification of physician and surgeon from the
Royal Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons of Edinburgh, and
the Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, including
the fees for the joint examination?, is £100, which is payable by
yearly instalments during the period of study ; whilst the
minimum cost for the single qualification of either physician or
surgeon, including fee for examination, is £85.
*** The appointment nf resident physician to the wards in the
Royal Infirmary under the care of the Ordinary Physicians is open
only to those members of their clinical class who have clerked in
their wards for at least six months.
Six residentships are competed for during the year. Three of
these tenable for the following six Winter months are competed
for in March, and three for the succeeding six Summer months in
July.
