The Distinguishing Features of this Company are : —
I.— To give each Policy-holder his Share of the realized Profits ANNUALLY, at the investigation
on 20th January. The Bonos for many years has been One Pound Ten Shillings per Cent pe«
Annum on the Sum Assured.
XX.— moderate Rates of Premiums, with and without Profits for whole of Life, and for short periods
III.— "Half-Credit System of Assurance."— A new adaptation of the Bonus system recently origin-,
ated by this Company Under this plan the Assured are allowed Credit for seven years for one-half of th*
Premium exigible at entry, and at the end of the seven years are enabled to keep up the Policy at a very
moderate rate of Premium ; whilst even that moderate premium begins immediately thereafter to be reduced»
and continues to be further reduced yearly to the end of the party's life. At death, after the expiry of the
term of credit, the sum in the Policy is payable free of all debt or claim upon it by the Company.
SV.— Special privileges as regards voyaging and residence abroad on terms highly advantageous to
the assured, on the conditions stated in the Company's pamphlets.
No Entry Money Charged— Medical Fees paid by the Company.
Policies granted free of any charge for Stamp Duty. f
Forms of Proposal and every information will be given on application at any of the Company a
Offices or Agencies.

For information as to the ordinary rates of the Society, the liberal conditions of its Policies, and the equity
and advantages of its arrangements, reference is made to the Pamphlets and full Tables of Bates which may
be obtained at the Offices of the Society. There are given below, extracts from Tables of Rates for Assuiance
of £100, recently added, 1st Table A C, Minimum "Premiums for Assurance at Death, on the principle of
applying the Bonus additions to reduce the Premium, on the assumption of a Bonus at the rate li per Cent ;
if the additions be more, the Policy will be increased ; if less it will be diminished. 2nd Table K, Reduced
Rates for short periods, which, at middle and advanced Ages, will be found considerably below those of other
Offices.
The Rates of Additions at the Septennial Investigations in 1832 and 1839, werel^ per Cent, at 1846, 2pe*
Cent, and at 1853, If per Cent.
