In reply to yours, we are using the Gutta Percha as Straps to turn our Dye Vats, Winches, Hydi
Extractor, Lathes, ftc. We think it a very great improvement on any other. We also have tried it
etching on rollers, through the aquafortis, when engraving, and find it answers our most sanguine expec
tions in that respect, being pertectly impervious to the action of the nitric acid of the strength required
our purpose.
