ADVERTISEMENTS. 225
NATIONAL PROVIDENT INSTITUTION,
ESTD] FOR MUTUAL LIFE ASSURANCE. [1835
Invested Funds exceed £5,000,000. Claims Paid exceed £10,000,000.
PROFITS. The WHOLE are divided every Five Years amongst the Members without any
deduction for Dividends to Shareholders. Already divided, £5,400,000.
The amount thus divided has for many years averaged more than £100,000 per annum; and
its total has amounted to upwards of Four and a Half Millions Sterling.
At the last (1897) Division there were then nearly 1000 Policies in respect of which
not only were the Premiums entirely extinguished, hut also Annuities were granted or Cash
Bonuses paid, whilst in the case of many Policies the original sums assured are now more than
doubled by the Bonus Additions.
Endowment Assurances, combining Life Assurance at minimum cost with provision for old
age, granted on exceptionally favourable terms. The practical effect of these Policies in the
National Provident Institution is that the Member's life is assured until he reaches the age agreed
upon, and on his reaching that age the whole of the Premiums paid are returned to him, and a
considerable sum in addition, representing a by no means insignificant rate of interest on his payments.
Before assuring elsewhere, read the Prospectus of this old and wealthy institution, which may be obtained
