CHARITABLE AND FRIENDLY INSTITUTIONS.
CLAN MACKAY SOCIETY.
The objects of the society shall be the fostering
and preserving of clan sentiment ; the cultivation of
social intercourse among the members ; the rendering
of assistance to deserving clansmen ; the encourage-
ment of education ; and the collecting and preserving
of records and traditions bearing on the history of
the clan. The society shall be called "The Clan
JIackay Society ; " shall be non-political and non-
sectarian ; and shall consist of (1) persons bearing the
surname Mackay, by birth or marriage ; (2) persons
bearing any of the names of the various clan septs,
or related to the clan by descent, shall be admitted
as "Associates," but shall not be eligible to hold
office, or entitled to vote at any of the meetings, or
derive any benefit from the funds of the society.
The Sept names are as follows : — Mackie, Bain (in its
various forms), Poison, Macphail, Mackee or Mackey,
Macghie, Neilson, BlacCrie, MacCay, &c. The mem-
bership is of three classes, viz., life members, vfho shall
make one payment of £3 3s.; extraordinary members,
10s. 6d. ; and ordinary members, 2s. 6d. annually.
The ordinary meetings are held alternately in Glasgow,
in the Religious Institution Rooms, 200 Buchanan
Street, and Edinburgh, at 5 St. Andrew Square, on
the third Thursday of each month, from October to
April inclusive.

CLAN LAMONT SOCIETY.
Instituted 1895.
The objects of the Society shall be the reviving,
conserving, and promoting the interests, sentiment,
and associations of the clan ; cultivation of social
intercourse among the members ; the collecting and
preserving of records and traditions relating to the
clan, and the publication of the same amongst its
members ; the encouragement of education ; the
rendering of assistance to deserving clansmen, and
any other objects which the Society may from time
to time determine. The membership is of three
classes — viz.. Life Members, £b 5s.; ordinary
members, entry money 2s. 6d. and 5s. annually ; and
retainers, Is. annually. Chief, Major John Henry

MENZIES CLAN SOCIETY.

Objects : — (a) to cultivate and strengthen the tiue
Celtic ties of kin and clanship; (J/) tof urther the higher
education of young men and women of the clan
through " The Clan Menzie's Bursary ; " (c) to render
assistance to members requiring such ; (d) to collect
and preserve the history, rehcs, &c. , of the clan ;
(e) to encourage the weaiing of the Highland dress ;
(./) to promote the study of the language, literature,
history, &c., of the Highlands.

THE CLAN MACLEAN ASSOCIATION.
Instituted 1892.
The objects are — the reviving, fostering, and pro-
moting of Clan interests and sentiments by collecting
and preserving records and traditions in aoy way
relating to the Clan ; the cultivation of social inter-
course among the members ; the rendering of assis-
tance to necessitous and deserving Clansmen and
Clanswomen ; the encouraging of the study of the
Gaelic language and literature, and education gener-
ally. All persons bearing the surname of MacLean
in any of its various forms orspellings, including ladies
bearing the name either by parentage or by marriage,
also, persons bearing other surnames, but whose
maternal parent or grandparent was a MacLean, are
eligible as members. Terms of membership, ordinary,
2s. 6d. per annum; extraordinary, 10s. 6d. per
annum ; life, one payment of £3 3s., ladies, £1 Is.

CLAN CAMPBELL SOCIETY.
Instituted 1891.
The objects of the Society are : — The collecting and
preserving of records and traditions relating to the his-
tory of the Clan. To encourage by pecuniary aid or
otherwise such young men and women of the name of
Campbell as give indications of talents and genius,
the rendering of assistance to deserving Clansmen,
and the cultivation of social intercourse among the
members. The members of the Society must bear
or assume as surname, Campbell. Ladies of the
Clan by birth or marriage will be eligible for member-
ship or for any of the offices of the Society. Ad-
mission shall be by vote of the Society.
