The Royal National Littboat Institution is sup-
ported solely by voluntary coctiibutions, and is the
only National Institution which has for its object the
saving of lite from shipwreck.
It has established a great Life- Saving Fleet of
289 Lifeboats on the shores of the United Kingdom.
These lifeboats, mantied by their brave crews,
were launched for service during the year 1903 on
376 occasions, with the result that 572 lives were
saved, and, in addition, the Institution granted
rewards for the saving of 137 lives by shore-boats or
other means.
Thus the Institution has the splendid record of
having granted rew-ards since it was established in
1824 for the rescue of 44,361 lives.
Form of Bequest of moiieij, stock, or other
IKrsonal estate.
I give and bequeath to the Glasgow Branch of
the Royal National Life - Boat Institution for the
Preservation of Life from Shipwreck, founded in
1824, London, the sum of £ , for the
use of the said Institution ; and I declare that the
said legacy shall be paid free from Legacy Duty,
and that the receipt of the Treasurer of the said
Institution shall be a sufficient discharge for the
same.
Real or leasehold property may also now be left
by will to the Institution.
Annual subscriptions, donations, or legacies will be
thankfully received by the secretary or treasurer.

The objects for which the Association is formed
are for the granting of pecuniary relief to its mem-
bers, their widows, their children, and their de-
pendents, if in necessitous circumstances, and also
the extension of benevolence to indigcLt artistes out-
side the asi ociation whom the committee may
consider deserving.

TOLLCROSS NATIVE BENEVOLENT
ASSOCIATION.
Object — To assist the native poor, and with
power to the Committee, in cases of severe or acci-
dental distress, to grant relief to others. President,

BLIND.

Instituted 1894.
This Association has for its object to help the
blind to help themselves without the aid of paid
sighted officials. The hall and recreation rooms are
open daily, where the blind are supplied with coffee
and bread, free of charge. Gospel and temperance
meetings are held weekly, and social gatherings
periodiia'ly during the winter month'. These meet-
ings are much appreciated by the blind, as they are
the only meetings of the kind held in Glasgi,w.
The work provided includes the delivery of circulars,
manufacture of firewood, piano tuning, and tuition
by qualified blind persons, and the whole amounts
thus earned by the blind are paid over to themselves
without any deduction.

This is a charitable society — 1. For the relief of
persons in reduced or destitute circumstances, but
not receiving parochial relief, in the order of prece-
dence following : — (1) Members of the society; (2)
the widows, sisters, brothers, or descendants of
members; (3) natives of Ayrshire resident in Glasgow.
II. For assisting by bursaries young men wishing
to pursue their studies in the University of Glasgow,
who are either descendants of members, or natives
of Ayrshire, or sons of natives resident in Glasgow.
All persons may become members who are natives
of Ayrshire, or have an interest in the county by
property, business, or residence, or are connected
by marriage or relationship with members, or with
persons qualified to be members. Entry money,
£3 3s., and no further payment is required.
GLASGOW ABERDEENSHIRE ASSOCIATION,

For the purpose (1) of giving assistance to pers ns
of good character who have come from Aberdeenshire
to Glasgow in seirch of emplo} ment ; (2) of relieving
temporarily deserving necessitous persons who are
natives of, or closely connected with Aberdeenshire;
and (.") of promoting social and friendly intercourse
amongst A^^erdonians resident in or near Glasgow.
Life member's subsciiption. One Guinea; ordinary
member's subscription, 23. 6d. per annum.
