SMITH'S HAM AND BEEF STORE,

JAMES SMITH begs to acquaint his
Friends and the Public, that he has com-
menced the business of curing Beef, Mutton, Pork,
&c. in the above named premises, and has at all
times on hand a stock of the first quality in a cured
state.
And having engaged Mr William Chalmers,
whose abilities as a curer are established by more
than twenty years' practice, both in Edinburf^h and
in the west, J. S. can confidently assure the Public,
that he has it in his power to serve his customers,
with Salted Rounds, Corned Beef, Mutton, Poik
and Pickled Tongues, in their season, cured in so
superior a manner, that he feels satisfied they will
insure liim a continuance of the favours of those
who may honour his goods with a trial.
Rounds prepared on the shortest notice, and
strict attention at all times given to execute orders
promptly for ready money.
J. S. has only to mention farther, that the
greater number of Hams sold in Edinburgh under
the name of " Glasgow Hams," are of inferior qua-
lity, brought here on venture for sale, and but few
of them are the salting of the respectable curers in
the West.

Stimulated by the growing taste for the science
of MUSIC in the town of Leith, P. W. has been
induced to devote increased attention to this
department of his business ; and, having made
considerable additions to his Stock, he has alwaya
on hand an extensive variety of standard and
fashionable Music.
Arrangements have also been made with the
respective London Publishers, by which he is
ensured an early and regular supply of every New
Piece which is at all worthy of attention.

Shops in Town.

o'clock, and delivery commences in both at 8 o'clock morning.
