FIRE DEPARTMENT.
"NSURANCES are granted on Property situate in all parts of the British Dominions, and in
most Foreign Countries, at rates which are computed according to the actual risk incurred.
PARTICIPATION LIFE BRANCH.
The Policyholders under this Branch have all the advantages of the Proprietary and Mutual
Jyatems combined. The following are some of the special features : —
(1.) The Entire Profits belong to the Policyholders.
(2.) The Bonus at the last investigation, of 31st December, 1895, was at the rate of
£1 lis. per cent, per annum, or £7 16s. per cent, for the quinquennium, and the
sum of £10,896 was carried forward.
(3.) The Sums Assured are not only secured by the funds in hand — amounting to
j over Four aud one half Millions sterling — but are further guaranteed by the
Shareholders' subscribed capital of Three Millions.
(4.) The Expenses of Management (including Agents' Commission) are limited to 10 per
cent, on the premium income.
(5.) Abolition of all restriction on Foreign Travel and Residence in certain cases.
(6.) Claims are payable as soon as title has been proved, without any deduction.
