AGED WOMEN'S SOCIETY.

auditor. This society has for its object the relief of
widows and unmarried women above 60 years of
age. Before receiving assistance they are visited at
their houses. Any person subscribing 20s., or two
subscribers of 10s. each, are entitled to recommend
a pensioner. Twenty ladies act as visitors, who, with
the office-bearers, meet on the first Wednesday of
every month, in the Religious Institution Rooms.

LADIES' AUXILIARY TO THE MISSION TO
THE OUT-DOOR BLIND FOR GLASGOW
AND THE WEST OF SCOTLAND.
For visiting blind females, and through means of a
female teacher, teaching them knitting, and provid-
ing work for them. The work of the society is car-
ried on at 6 Bath Street, where all kinds of knitted
work done by the blind are sold, and orders for work
taken in. Mrs. Stephen, Kelly, president; Miss

GLASGOW IRVINE SOCIETY.

The objects of this society, which was founded in
1869, are (I) To afford relief to persons who, from
various causes, are in necessitous circumstances;
and (2) to promote good fellowship among the natives
of Irvine resident in Glas2;ow.
A sirgle payment of Two Guineas constitutes life
membership. Ladies admitted as life members on a
single payment of One Guinea. Ordinary members
pay half-a-crown annually.
THE MACDONALD SOCIETY.
The objects of the Society are : the cultivation of
social intercourse among the members ; the rendering
of assistance to aged, infirm, or necessitous members,
their widows and children, and other purposes.

The object of this union is to instil into the young
minds the principle of kindness to animals. Full

NATURAL HISTORY SOCIETY OF GLASGOW.
Instituted 1851.
For the encouragement of the pursuit of natural
history in all its branches, by meetings for reading
of papers and exhibition of specimens, and by excur-
sions for field work. Candidates for membership are
recommended by two members of the society. The
society meets on the last Tuesday of the month
in the society's rooms, 207 Bath Street.
