6d. or 21s. per week during sickness, however pro-
tracted, and immediately after the entry money is
paid, the society becomes liable for the funeral money
of £10 or £20, as may have been contributed for.
An annuity of £6 or £12 is provided to all members
after 70 years of age, when the contributions cease.
For the year ending 31st Dec, 1894, £1793 19s. lOd.
were paid as benefits from the funds of the society,
and from the society's origin in 1832 a total of
£43,427 16s. 7d. has been so paid. The total funds
amount to £32,406 Is. 2jd. The entry money is
one quarter's contribution (which ranges from 4s.
lOd. at 19, to lis. 7^d. at 45). Office, 188 St.

GLASGOW LODGING-HOUSE GOSPEL UNION.
Headquarters — 20 King Street, City.
This Union is quite unsectarian. Its objects are
to carry the gospel to the lodging-houses in Glasgow;
to assist by practical means deserving cases found
therein ; to rescue therefrom all persons desiring to
reform, and, as far as possible, restore them to their
friends, or provide for them a home with every
requisite for leading a better life ; also to carry on
aggressive mission work in the slums. Secretary,

THE GRAND ANTIQUITY SOCIETY
OF GLASGOW.
The objects of this society are the relief of mem-
bers and widows of members in infirm or old age.
Admission restricted to burgesses, who are also sons
and grandsons either by father's or mother's side of
burgesses. Entry-money, £2 3s. 6t?., excepting the
sons and sons-in-law of members, £1 2s. 6d.

The objects of the Co-operation are — (a) To estab-
lish in Glasgow a central register for thoroughly
trained nurses, where they may be engaged by medical
practitioners and the public ; (6) to provide nurses
with regular employment, and at the same time a
full remuneration for their services ; (c) to establish
in Glasgow a central home where, while oif duty,
nurses may live comfortably at moderate charges;
(d) to provide a fund for the benefit of the nurses of
the Co-operation.
Fully trained nurses supplied any time during the

ST. ELIZABETH'S HOME FOR DISTRICT
AND PRIVATE NURSING.

The above institution was founded in January,
1893, to provide trained nurses to attend the Catholic
sick poor of Glasgow in their own homes, free of
charge. Nurses for private cases can also he obtained
from the institution, and there is accommodation in
the home for a limited number of in-patients.
