THE Editor of the following fjjeets flat-
ters himfelf that it is unneceffary to
make any apology for publifhing them. —
A Dire6lory in fuch a large and populous
City muft be of the greateft utility to the
Citizens, and likewife to Strangers, by ha-
ving a proper dire6lion to the lodgings,
warehoufes, counting-rooms, and fhops, of
the Merchants, Manufa6lurers, Traders,
and Shop-keepers, within the City of Glaf-
gow.
The Editor humbly relies upon the can-
dour of the encouragers of this publication,
with refpe6l to any omiffions or miftakes
which may have unobfervedly and unavoid-
ably crept into it during the time of print-
ing; and, it being his firfl: performance of
the kind, folicits the indulgence of the Pu-
blic.
