Balearic Islands. Letters, which must be paid,
(for Rates of Postage, see Spain,) forwarded daily via
France, unless specially directed. '* im Southampton,"
when they are forwarded on the 7th, 17th, and*27th of
each month, unless those dates should fall on the Sun-
day, and then on the following morning.
Belgium. Letters paid or unpaid, are despatched
daily toOstend; postage Is. under k oz., Is. 4d, under
I oz., 2s. 4d. under | oz., and 2s. 8d. under 1 oz., and
so on. Or, if so addressed, daily, ma France : must be
paid to Calais, 5d. not exceeding ^ oz, ; or may be paid
through France, lOd. under \ oz., Js. 3d. under | oz.
2s. Id. under f oz., 2s. 6d. under 1 oz., 3s. 9d, under
H ozs. and so on.

Bermuda. Letters, paid or unpaid, forwarded via
Liverpool, on the evenings of the 3rd and 18th ot each
-month, except in December, January, February, and
March, and then on the 3rd only; or specially directed
*^ via Southampton," or, ^* by West India Packet,"
throughout the year on the morning of the 17th (or, in
the event of the 17th falling on a Sunday, on the morn-
ing of the 18th) of every month. Postage, paid or un-
paid, by either route. Is. not exceeding \ oz. and so on.
Newspapers^ free.
Brazil, Letters, which must be paid, are depatched
in sailing Packets, ^oy Falmouth, on the evening of the
1st Tuesday in every month, 2s, 9d. (from Falmouth 2s.
7d.) not exceeding ^ oz. and so on. From August to
January inclusive, the Packet touches at Pernambuco
and Bahia, on her outward passage to Rio Janeiroj and
the other six month on her homeward.
