IX. Ward, Blackfriars. — Firstly — That portion
of the City within a line drawn from a point in
the middle line of Albert Bridge where the same in-
tersects the middle line of the River Clyde, north-
wards along the middle of said bridge and of Salt-
market and High Street to a point opposite the
middle of Rottenrow ; thence westwards along the
middle of Rottenrow to the middle of John Street ;
thence southwards along the middle of John Street
lo the middle of Ingram Street; thence westwards
along the middle of Ingram Street to a point opposite
the middle of Glassford Street ; thence southwards
along the middle line of Glassford Street and of
Stockwell Street and Victoria Bridge to a point where
it intersects the middle line of the River Clyde ; thence
up the middle of the River Clyde to the point in the
middle of Albert Bridge first before described ; and
Secondly — That portion of the City and Royal Burgh
comprehended within a line drawn from a point in
the middle of the River Clyde immediately opposite
the middle of Thistle Street, southwards along the
middle of Thistle Street to the middle of Caledonia
Road ; thence eastwards along the middle of Caledonia
Road to the middle of Florence Street ; thence north-
wards along the middle of Florence Street and Rose
Street and a straight line in continuation of the same
to the middle of the River Clyde ; thence down the
middle of the River Clyde to the point opposite the
middle of Thistle Street first before described.
X. Ward, Exchange. — That portion of the City
comprehended within a line drawn from a point in the
middle line of Victoria Bridge where the same inter-
sects the middle line of the River Clyde, northwards
along the middle of said bridge, Stockwell Street,
and Glassford Street to the middle of Ingram Street;
thence eastwards along the middle of Ingram Street
to a point opposite the middle of John Street; thence
northwards along the middle of John Street to a
point where the middle line of Cathedral Street
meets the middle line of Sirling Road ; thence west-
wards along the middle of Cathedral Street and Bath
Street to the middle of West Nile Street; thence
southwards along the middle of West Nile Street
and Mitchell Street to the middle of Argyle Street ;
thence westwards along the middle of Argyle Street
to a point opposite the middle of Jamaica Street ;
thence southwards along the middle line of Jamaica
Street and Glasgow Bridge till the same intersects
the middle line of the River Clyde; thence up the
middle of the River Clyde to the point in the middle
of Victoria Bridge first before described.
XI. Ward, Blythswood.— That portion of the City
comprehended within a line drawn from a point in the
middle line of Gordon Street where the same is inter-
sected by the middle line of Mitchell Street and West
Nile Street; thence northwards along the middle of
West Nile Street to the middle of Bath Street ; thence
eastwards along the middle of Bath Street to the
middle of Buchanan Street ; thence northwards along
the middle of Buchanan Street to a point opposite
the middle of Renfrew Street ; thence westwards
along the middle of Renfrew Street to the middle of
Scott Street; thence southwards along the middle of
Scott Street and Pitt Street to a point where the
middle line of Bothwell Street meets the middle line
of Bothwell Circus; thence eastwards along the
middle of Bothwell Street to the middle of Hope
Street ; thence southwards along the middle of Hope
Street to a point opposite the middle of Gordon Street;
thence eastwards along the middle line of Gordon
Street to the point where it is intersected by the lines
of Mitchell Street and West Nile Street at the point
first before described.
XII. Ward, Broomielaw.— That portion of the
City within a line drawn from a point in the
middle line of Glasgow Bridge where the same inter-
sects the middle line of the River Clyde, northwards
along the middle of said bridge and Jamaica Street
to the middle of Argyle Street; thence eastwards
along the middle of Argyle Street to a point opposite
the middle of Mitchell Street; thence northwards
along the middle of Mitchell Street to the middle of
Gordon Street; thence westwards along the middle
of Gordon Street to the middle of Hope Street;
thence northwards along the middle of Hope Street
to a point opposite [the middle of Bothwell Street;
thence westwards along the middle of Bothwell Street
to the middle of Pitt Street; thence southwards
along the middle of Pitt Street to the middle of
Argyle Street ; thence westwards along the middle of
Argyle Street to a point where the middle line of
Argyle Street and Main Street is intersected by the
Royalty boundary opposite the Royalty Stone, No.
209, which is distant thirty-eight yards or thereby
measured along Argyle Street to the west of the
middle of M'Alpine Street ; thence southwards along
the said Royalty boundary line to the middle of the
River Clyde ; thence up the middle of the River
Clyde to tbe middle of Glasgow Bridge at the point
first before described.
XIII. Ward, Anderston. — That portion of the
City within a line drawn from a point in I he
middle of the River Clyde immediately opposite the
Royalty Stone, No. 210, which is distant thirty six
yards or thereby measured along Broomielaw Street
to the west of the middle of M'Alpine Street, north-
wards along the Royalty boundary line to the middle
of the line of Argyle Street and Main Street ; thence
westwards along the middle line of Main Street,
Dumbarton Road, and the bridge over the River
Kelvin on Dumbarton Road to a point where the
same intersects the middle line of the River Kelvin ;
thence down the middle of the River Kelvin to the
middle of the River Clyde ; thence up the middle of
the liver Clyde to the point opposite the Royalty
Stone, No. 210, first before described.
XIV. Ward, Sandyford. — That portion of the
City comprehended within a line drawn from a point in
the middle of Argyle Street opposite the middle of Pitt
Street, northwards along the middle of Pitt Street to
the middle of Sauchiehall Street; thence westwards
along the middle of Sauchiehall Street to the middle
of Kelvingrove Street; thence southwards along the
middle of Kelvingrove Street to the middle of Dum-
barton Road ; thence eastwards along tbe middle of
Dumbarton Road, Main Street, and Argyle Street to
the point opposite the middle of Pitt Street, first
before described.
