Authorized to be levied by the Tmstees of the Clyde Navigation, under the Acts 21 & 22 Vict. cap. 149 ;
27 & 28 Vict. cap. 248 ; 31 & 32 Vict, cap. 124 ; and 41 Vict, cap. 47.
Schedule G. — Hates on Vessels at each time of Entering, or Using, or Departing from the River
or Harbour : —
)n all Vessels, except as after mentioned, arriving at or departing from the Harbour,
from or to anv place in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, per

'rovided that the last-mentioned charge shall not extend to any Vessels the goods in
which are exempted from rates by this Act.
)n all Vessels entering or using the Trustees' Basin at Bowling, having previously been
regularly trading on the River, per Register Ton, per Week, . . . One Halfpenny.
pn all other Vessels entering or using the said Basin, per Register Ton, per Week, . Twopence.
Vessels proceeding empty for a cargo, or returning empty, having discharged a cargo to or from any
;)lace beyond the limits of the Harbour, shall not be liable to pay any rates for the empty trip, under Article
5even.
Vessels passing to or from any place on the River Clyde above Hutchesontown Bridge, through that
lortion of the River which is embraced within the limits of the Harbour, shall not be liable for any of the
ates specified in this Schedule, unless they shall use any of the said Docks or Tidal Basins, or any of the
Juays or other works constructed by the Trustees on the banks of the River, within the limits of the Har-
lour, or unless they shall take in or discharge their cargo or any part thereof 'within the said limits, or
hall remain therein longer than may be necessary for passing through the same.
Schedule H. — 1. Rate on Goods conveyed upon, or shipped or unsMpped,in the River, or at the Harbour,
or using any Transit Shed or Warehouse. — See following pages.
Goods in Vessels to or from any place out of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland are
iable for the Rates in the First Column ; and Goods in Vessels to or from any place within the United
Ongdom of Great Britain and Ireland, are liable for the Rates in the Second Column.
Goods brought to Glasgow for transhipment pay only the rate one way, either inwards or outwards,
fi the option of the Trustees; previous notice being given at the Tonnage Office before the Goods are
discharged or loaded.
Articles marked thus (*) have been altered from the Schedule Rate ; and Articles marked thus (f) have

The River Clyde is divided into Three Stages, and the following are the Rates exigible upon each : — The
irst stage extends from Stockwell Bridge to the Old Ferry at Renfrew, being about sis hundred and sixty
ards to the east of the present Ferry, and the rates on Vessels, Goods, Animals, and Carriages, passing in
ir upon any part thereof are two-third parts of the aforesaid rates. The second stage extends from the
i)ld Ferry at Renfrew to the mouth of Dalmuir Burn ; and the rates exigible thereon are one-sixth part of
he aforesaid rates. The third stage extends from Dalmuir Burn to Newark Castle ; and the rates exigible
hereon are one-sixth part of the aforesaid rates.
