TEOUT PRESERVATION ASSOCIATION.
This association was formed in 1873, for the pur-
pose of (1) stocking our Highland lochs with trout,
and (2) of protecting the spawning beds in streams
running into Lochs Lomond, Ard, Chon, Katrine,
Achray, Vennacher, and Lubnaig, and thereby in-
crease the number of trout in those waters. Watchers
are placed on the burns during the spawning season
to prevent poaching. For three years Loch Ard has
tieen stocked, and during that period about 100,000
young Loch Leven trout have been put into it. The
association is composed of anglers and others inter-
ested in the preservation of the fish in our Highland
lochs and streams. The annual subscription is £1 Is.

GLASGOW SUNDAY SOCIETY.
Objects of the society — (1) To obtain the opening
of museums, art galleries, libraries, and gardens on
Sundays; (2) to promote the delivery of Sunday
lectures on literary, philosophical, and scientific sub-
jects ; (3) to provide concerts of high-class music on
Sundays.

THE GLASGOW TRICYCLING CLUB.

New Members will be admitted by ballot at the
Monthly Committee Meetings. The names and ad-
dresses of proposed members to be forwarded to the
secretary before the 15th of each month.
The club-meets take place at Strathbungo Station
and Botanic Gardens every Saturday, and on Wed-
nesday and Thursday evening during the season.
All-day excursions are arranged every alternate Satur-
day, starting at 8 a.m., and returning in the after-
noon to meet the ordinary club run at their rendez-
vous, and accompany them back to town.
Members' machines can be stabled in the store
underneath the Camphill U.P. Church, Queen's Park,
which is rented by the club for the purpose.

By Quarterly Meetings for the reading of Papers and
Communications, and the exhibition of Specimens,
to be held in the months of March, June, September,
and December.
