The session begins on the first week of Septembei (-
1886. The course of study comprises practical in
struction in plain and figured weaving, from the simpl f,
to the complex process. Instruction given in makin
working plans and drafts for the use of mounters
weavers, enterers, harness tyers, and designers. Vari
ous methods of experimenting with hand looms taughl
and facilities provided to enable students to acquire
thorough knowledge of power looms. Hand and powe
looms will be set apart for the purpose of being take
down and put up again by the students into workin
order. Pattern sketching, and drawing designs upo
lined paper, preparatory to their production in th:
loom, will form an important part of the instructior
