MAILS FOE THE ISLE OF MAN.
Mails to and from the Isle of Man are conveyed by Steamers between Liverpool and Douglas
(Sundays excepted) from 1st June to ZQth September: in May and Octoberybar times weekly; and during
the remainder of the year three times weekly. There is also a communication weekly between Liverpool
aud Ramsay.
ENGLAND AND WALES.
LIST OF PLACES WHICH ARE POST OFFICE SAVINGS BANK BRANCHES, AND WHICH CAN GRANT AND
PAY MONET ORDERS.
With few exceptions, all Offices in England at which Money Order business is transacted, are also Postal
Telegraph Offices. Railway Sub-Offices are marked thus, o.
Letters for England (the North East Coast excepted) are forwarded by the Night and the Day Mails
closing at 5.30 and 8.30 p.m. respectively.
For the Night Mail, closing only thirteen minutes before the despatch, no late fee is taken at the Head
Office. But letters intended for that mail, after the closing of the Letter Box at the Head Office, may be
forwarded up to 5.53 p.m. from the Buchanan Street Railway Station on payment of a late fee of 2d.,
together with the postage.
Foreign Letters, &c., for despatch by the Limited Mail must be posted not later than 5.15 p.m. Also,
Scotch and Irish letters for the same mail, and which ought to be posted in the Scotch Letter Box. For
these a late fee of Id. is taken from 5.15 to 5.30 p.m.
The Letters, &c., for the North East of England are forwarded by the East Coast Route at 6 a.m. and
8.30 p.m. Letters, &c., for London, Liverpool, and Carlisle, and for places depending upon these offices,
are also forwarded at 9.30 a.m.
