The Subscribers beg to announce to Engineers, Inventors, Patentees,

FOREIGN LETTERS PATENT FOR INVENTIONS, THE REG-
ISTRATION OF DESIGNS, AND ALL OTHER PATENT
AGENCY BUSINESS, AS WELL AS THE MAKING OUT OF
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF ALL KINDS OF MACHI-
NERY, IN THE MOST CORRECT AND EFFICIENT MANNER,
AND THAT AT THE LOWEST POSSIBLE CHARGE.
The extensive practical experience acquired by Mr. W. R. M. T. as a Mechanical Engineer since 1833,
and also as a Patent Agent, gained during the management of the Engineering and Drawing Department
of the Business of the late Wm. Johnson, Esq., since 1849, which has given him such an intimate know-
ledge of most of the valuable Patented Inventions connected with Textile Manufactures and Machinery of
every description, as will enable him to give the most reliable opinions and advice as to the novelty or
validity of Patentnhle or Patented inventions, and also as to all questions of infringements ; together with
having in Mr. Smith so valuable a coadjutor, whose well-known authority on all scientific and legal matters
connected with Patents, and the extensive connection formed by him in the course of his long practice in
nearly every country where Patents are granted, will, it is hoped, be a sufficient guarantee that all business
intrusted to them will be executed in the most carefid and efficient manner.
Persons at a distance can receive protection by furnishing rough descriptions of their Inventions, and
have the necessary papers forwarded to them for signature, as well as by personal attendance.
All general information in reference to Patents given free on personal application, or by letter, when an
addressed stamped envelope is inclosed.
