ASSURANCES on LIVES and SURVIVORSHIPS are effected by this Com-
.pany at reduced Rates of Premium, operating as a certain and immediate Bonus^
and the Assured participate Quinquennially in the Profits of the Life Department.
The Periodical Additions declared on Policies may be applied either in Augmenta-
tion of the Original Sum insured, and payable therewith, or in Reduction of th&
future Annual Premium, at the option of the legal holder of the Policy. F«reigi>
residence, and Passages by Sea in Steam Packets or Decked Vessels, within the-
limits of Europe, are allowed without Licence from the Directors, or Extra Charge, j*
i^r-Endowments and Annuities granted.

INSURANCES effected on PROPERTY situate in any part of the United
Kingdom, and in the Islands of Guernsey and Jers-ey.
Cotton, Flax, "Wool, and Silk Mills, and Weaving Factories ; Calico-printing,
Dyeing, and Bleaching Works ; Distilleries, Breweries, Corn and Flour Mills ;
Sugar Refineries, Chemical Manufactories, and other risks of a similar nature, may
be insured by Special Agreement, on favourable terms.
Half the Profits of the Fire Department are appropriated to the Assured every
Fifth year, on all Polices of £300 and upwards, which have continued in force for
the two preceding years.

THE WEST OP ENGLAND FIRE BRIGADE and ENGINE are maJntainedJ
entirely at the Company's expense, and are despatched to ALL FIRES IN THEi
CITY OR NEIGHBOURHOOD, without charge ;— the special attention of the!
Engineer and Firemen being directed to the protection of property covered by the!
Company's Policies.
