There being no bags despatched forLondon on Saturday, when any of the dates
for the London, Southampton, or Dover Packets, fall upon that day, reference must
be made to the alphabetical list for information whether the letters should be posted
on the previous Friday or on the ensuing Sunday.
Letters or Papers for the Morning London Mail closing at 2-16, a.m., the postage
upon which is intended to be paid in money, must be posted before 10-30, p.m. on
the previous evening, at the General OflSce, and before the latest collection at the
different Receiving houses.
Letters for Foreign Countries, the pre-payment ofuhich is required, when put in-
to the unpaid box, or left at the office with less than the full postage, are sent to the
Dead Letter Office, and returned to the writer, when his address can be ascertained.
