RECEIVING HOUSES.
The Receiving Houses are not opened for the receipt of paid letters on Sun-
days and Fast-days. Unpaid lettei's, or those bearing stamps, can be put into the
letter-boxes, and are collected at 7-30 p.m. only, except Queen Street, from Vi^^hich
office they are collected at 7-30 a.m., and 4 and 9 p.m.
"When parties wish to send Letters by the Mails after the closing of the Receiv-
ing-House boxes, they must apply at the Paid Letter Window of the General
Office, Glassford Street.
Paid Letters to go by the Mails despatched before 8 a.m., must be posted the
previous evening before 10-30 at the General Office, and before the latest collec-
tion at the diflerent Receiving- Houses.
First Collection, for Town, and Hamilton and Paisley.
Second do. Town, Edinburgh, Stirling, Falkirk, Denny, and North and
South-east of Scotland, and North- east of England, Greenock,
Paisley, Port- Glasgow, Dumbarton and Helensburgh.
Third do. Town, Ayrshire, Wigtonshire, Ireland, Greenock, Port-Glasgow,
Paisley, Johnstone, Lochwinnoch, Hamilton, Strathaven, Lark-
hall, Blantyre, Rutherglen, PoUockshaws, Busby, Lennoxton,
Torrance, Maryhill, Milngavie, Springbank, Airdrie, Coatbridge.
Fourth do. Town, Edinburgh and North of Scotland, English and Foreign,
Lanarkshire, Dumfriesshire, Galloway, .Ayrshire, Renfrewshire,
Stirlingshire, Dumbai-tonshire, and Argyllshire.
The Collections at the respective Receiving-Houses in Town and Suburbs will
be made as under : —
Queen Street— 7-15, 7-45, 10-30, and 11-15 a.m.— 12-1.'>, 2-45, 3-15, 3-45, 4-15,
4-39, 8, 8-46, and 9-15, p.m. — Sundays 7-30 a m. — 4 and 9 p.m.
