MARITIME
PASSENGERS' ASSURANCE COMPANY.
ESTABLISHED FOR GRANTING ASSURANCES AGAINST
LOSS OF LIFE, AND PERSONAL INJURY ARISING FROM
ACCIDENT AT SEA,
AND FOR THE INSURANCE OF THE BAGGAGE AND EFFECTS OF BOTH
MARINERS AND PASSENGERS.
Chief Offices— No. 4 MOORGATE STREET (near the Bank), LONDON .
BRANCH OFFICES.
LIVERPOOL— EXCHANGE CHAMBERS, TITHEBARN STREET.
GLASGOW— 91 BUCHANAN STREET.
THE melancholy Shipwrecks (attended with so fearful loss of life) which have occurred
even in the last twelve months, prove most emphatically the value of the system
of Assurance presented by this Company. By payment of a Premium so small that all
classes may avail themselves of the advantages offered, the Passengers by Sea, as well as
the Mariner, may secure a certain provision for their families, should they perish through
the dangers of the deep, and should they meet with an accident not of a fatal nature,
this Company is bound by their Policies to allow
A LIBERAL COMPENSATION EOR SUCH INJURY,
in proportion to the amount insured; but in no case exceeding one-fourth of the amount
payable in case of death.
The following particulars of some of the claims recently paid by the Company, illus-
trate the nature of several cases of personal injury for which compensation has been
allowed, and prove more forcibly than any argument the value of Maritime Life Assur-
ance : —
