SPECIAL ADVANTAGES.
1. On proof of age, Policies are declared indisputable, on any ground whatever, after
the lapse of Jive years from their date, provided the Premiums, ordinary or extra, stipu-
lated by the Policy be duly paid.
2. Certificates granted on application declaring Policies exempt from payment of extra
premium for travelling or residing beyond the limits of Europe, or for entering into
Military or Naval Service, and from the necessity of applying for License to do so, from
and after the expiry of five years from their date, provided it shall be shown to the satis-
faction of the Directors that the Assured have, at the time of the application, no intention
or prospect of going abroad, or entering into Military or Naval Service.
By these arrangements the Policies of this Company are rendered more valuable as a
family provision, or as a transferable security in money transactions, and more market-
able when wished to be disposed of.
FIRE INSURANCE.
This Company insures against Loss or Damage by Fire, all Descriptions of Build-
ings, including Mills and Manufactories, and the Goods, Wares, and Merchandise in the
same; Ships in Harbour or" in Dock, and Farming Stock of all descriptions, at the lowest
rates of Premium corresponding to the risk.
The Rates of Annual Premiums on the Three Ordinary Classes of Insurance are : —
Common, Is. 6d. ; Hazardous, 2s. 6d. ; Doubly Hazardous, 4s. 6d.,
with certain exceptions.
Rents of Property insured on the same terms as the Buildings.
Farm Stock and Crop insured, in cumulo, on one Farm, without the average clause, at
3s. per cent., and Loss and Damage by Lightning thereon made good.
The Rates for all Insurances, not coming under the above heads, are fixed by special
agreement.
No charge is made for Policies when the Sum insured amounts to £800.
LOSSES SETTLED WITH PROMPTITUDE AND LIBERALITY.
Prospectuses, containing Tables of Rates, and every other information, may be had at
the Head Office in Edinburgh, or of any of the Company's Agents in the Country.
