206 ADVERTISEMENTS.
TO CIVIL ENGINEERS AND LAND-SURVEYORS.
ALEXANDER DICK,
Land-Surveying Chain and Safety Lamp Maker, and Plain and
Fancy Wire Worker,
10 Buchanan Buildings, 105 Stockwell, Street, Glasgow,
TAKES this opportunity again to return his unfeigned thanks to those Gentlemen
who, for thirty years, have honoured him with their kind favours, and hopes, ,
that by prompt attention to their orders, as heretofore, still to merit a continuance of I
their patronage.
A. D. would earnestly solicit the attention of those gentlemen who may not, as
yet, have given his Chains a trial, to do so; being confident, from the flattering testi-
monials received from eminent practical gentlemen, in different parts of the three
kingdoms, of their superiority, and besides being made of the very best Charcoal
Springwire (being nearly as hard as steel), he feels confident a trial is only necessary
to prove them second to none now in use ; and to prevent counterfeit, ' Alexander Dick,
Chainmaher, Glasgow,' is on the middle teller or counter of those chains warranted.
The following is an abridged list of his Prices for Cash only.

A. D. would particularly recommend the Chains with long-eyed links, filed joints,

superior style.
