THIS Society grants every variety of Policies, Life Assurance or Annuity, on any
number of lives, and to any amount, for which the payments can be made by such
arrangements as may be most convenient. There are various special features in this
Society, among which may be mentioned the suspension principle, by which Policies do
not become void through temporary inability in the payment of a premium when it be-
comes due.
Non-commissioned Officers in the Army, and Petty Officers in the Navy, on payment
of a moderate extra Premium beyond ordinary rates, Assured against war and climate,
if Policies are effected while on home service.
Partners in Firms can increase their available capital by the aid of a Special Life
Assurance Policy.
Creditors and Borrowers can Insure their Debts with special advantages in this
Society.
The Rates of Endowments granted to young lives, and of Annuities to old lives, are
liberal.
' The Deed of this Society exempts the Assured from the liabilities of Partnership, which
attend in Mutual Life Offices, and gives them the Security of a large Capital Stock, in-
dependently of the Fund accumulated from Premiums.
The Society defrays the cost of Policy Stamps and Medical Fees, so that the Assured
are subject to no charge beyond the Premiums.
•A valuation of the Society's Assets and Liabilities will be made at the close of its
second financial period, on the 31st December, 1854, when it is expected, from the great
increase of business during the past few years, that the Bonus to be allotted to the
Assured, on the participating scale, will be a liberal and most advantageous one. Full
particulars of the last Bonus, declared in 1849, with every information as to the mode
of effecting Assurance, may be had on application to the Actuary in London ; or to
