-*- 78 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow, on the 16th March, 1854, when the States of
the Fourth Septennial Investigation were laid before the Meeting. The State of Affairs
shows —
I. Amount of Assets, exclusive of the value of future Premiums, payable under the
Policies, being the amount of Accumulated Fund, £400,016 5 1
The amount of Liabilities, after deducting the value of the future
Premiums payable under the Policies, viz.
Net Value of Policies, £289,652 15
Claims, &c, not yet paid, 13,322 16 6

III. The Surplus Fund being £97,040 13 7
Report of the State of Affairs, containing a detailed Statement of the Investments of
the Society, and Report relative to the application of the Surplus, may be obtained at
the Offices of the Society.
Upwards o/'3000 Policies have been passed during the last Three Years.
