THE Company offers to the Public very important advantages, and affords, by
its large paid-up Capital and accumulated Fund, with, a Proprietary of nearly
One Thousand in number, an undoubted security for all its engagements.
The Company continues to effect Fire and Life Assurances, and to grant
Annuities and Endowments, on the most favourable terms.
Nearly 4,500 Life Policies have been issued.
The Constitution of this Company embraces : —
I.— A MUTUAL ASSURANCE BRANCH,
The Members of which incur no liability, while they obtain the Whole Benefit
of their contributions, — the sums assured being guaranteed, and the business con-
ducted by the Company for a charge of 10 per Cent, upon the Premiums without any
deduction whatever.
The Bonus declared in 1851 (when the Institution completed its fifteenth year)
was at the rate of £1. 7s. 6d. per £100 Assured, and a Policy for £1000, opened 30th
April, 1837, is now increased to £1,202. 6s. lid.
THE NEXT INVESTIGATION will be made at 30th April, 1856, so that
Policies taken out previous to that date will be entitled to rank for a full share of the
Bonuses then to be declared.
II.— A PROPRIETOR'S BRANCH,
By which Assurances may be effected for fixed sums upon terms which will bear
comparison with those of any Office of Stability in the Kingdom.
Moderate Extra Rates for Foreign Residence, and increased facilities afforded for
going abroad.
