LIFE DEPARTMENT.— IMPORTANT ADVANTAGES.
Premiums Adjcsted upon an Equitable and Liberal Basis.
A Reserved Life Fund of One Million and upwards, — irrespective of
the Proprietors' Paid-up Capital.
Four-Fifths of the Profits appropriated to the Assured every Fifth
Year.
THE Share of Profits allotted to each Policy may be applied either as a Bonus or
Reversionary Sum to be added to the amount insured, and payable at the Death of
the Life ; or in Reduction of the future Annual Premium ; or an immediate payment
may be obtained in Cash, of its present value.
Insurances may also be effected upon the joint continuance of two or more Lives; upon
the joint Lives and the Life of the Survivor of two or more persons ; upon the contingency
of one Life dying before another ; upon the Life Assured attaining any specific age, or
dying previously thereto.
Premiums may be paid either yearly or half-yearly; by a single payment; by a
limited number of payments; by an ascending or descending scale.
INSURANCES WITHOUT PARTICIPATION, FOR THE WHOLE OF LIFE, OR FOR SHORT
PERIODS, AT REDUCED RATES.
ANNUITIES AND ENDOWMENTS EFFECTED.

FIRE DEPARTMENT.
INSURANCES effected on PROPERTY situate in any part of the United Kingdom
at the usual Rates. Manufactories, and all Risks of a more hazardous nature, Insured
by Special Agreement, on favourable terms.
Half of the Surplus Premiums derived from- Fire Insurances, appropriated to the
Assured every Fifth Year on Policies of £300 and upicards ; Six Divisions have now
been made in this Department, ivhen large Returns have been made to the Assured in Cash.
