A collection of around 150 volumes by the Scottish author Dame Muriel Spark (1918-2006), which includes translations of her works in several languages, ranging from Hebrew to Russian, and editions in English not published in the UK.

The books have been catalogued individually and have the shelfmark 'Spk.'.

Acquisition

The core of the collection was donated by Dame Muriel in 1992. Additions have been made to the collection through purchase and donation.

Related collections

The Library has purchased an extensive archive of Dame Muriel's correspondence and papers from the 1990s onwards. The main collections of papers are held at Acc.10989, 11344, 11621 and 12082.
